Learning Management System Administrator

We are currently seeking a learning management system administrator. This role also involves office administration responsibilities. You will be working on a multi-function team supporting the production manager and the elearning developer. You are extremely organised, able to take direction and work independently. Your abilities with multi-tasking and prioritising are an asset.


What you’ll have:

  • a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree in educational media or graphic design
  • exceptional interpersonal communication (written and oral) skills
  • excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • experience working with a learning management system such as Blackboard, Canvas, D2L, etc. is a must
  • experience generating and reviewing content in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint)
  • experience using Adobe Creative Suite
  • experience working in Mac OSX environment
  • familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, Sharepoint and Joomla
  • familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Square, Shopify and Paypal


What you’ll do:

–  document and maintain a knowledge base in learning technologies, including process, checklists, service level agreements, rules, and policies and procedures around all learning technologies

–  support the educational media function:

  • maintain WordPress-based Square pages for client payment
  • post training materials to Blackboard
  • maintain learning tools on Blackboard and respond to any technical issues as they arise
  • escalate complex issues to relevant senior staff if and when issues arise
  • coordinate user registration and respond to user queries
  • establish and maintain strong relationships with customers
  • monitor the completion of courses by users
  • issue course completion certificates
  • conduct training program product testing
  • assist in digital media production as needed

–  support the managing director:

  • facilitate company “info” and “inquiries” email inboxes
  • maintain social media posts on LinkedIn
  • maintain inventory of office supplies
  • coordinate with suppliers
  • maintain accounts payable schedule
  • collect accounts payable receipts and coordinate with bookkeeper
  • coordinate with building management company
